Former Sen. Jesse Helms, who built a career along the fault lines of racial politics and battled liberals, Communists and the occasional fellow Republican during 30 conservative years in Congress, died on the Fourth of July. He was 86.Helms died at 1:15 a

A man who knew what he believed and wasn't afraid to stand up for it.I didn't agree with everything he stood for, but would be nice to have more leaders with that kind of backbone, and fewer pansies and pushovers. A fitting day to die. God rest your soul, Mr. Helms.

i am sorry for defaming the wizard of oz bruce .........pansies yeah thats not homophobic wording ..............the reason the states are in the shape they are in is due to garbage like helms ..............
