With the creation of the International Criminal Court (ICC), the world has begun to fulfill the post-World War II promise of "never again." It issued 12 public arrest warrants. It made its first arrest in 2006. Four defendants are in custody in The Hague.

"The Wheels of the gods grind slowly, but they grind exceedingly well"

This court is moving at a slow pace and though some area of the world seem to need justice more then others, so far the prosecutors are spending time gathering evidence and ignoring political pressure. Good for them, for it is evidence and careful pursuit of justice that will bring this court an important name in history.

The question and answer of the article are very informative, particularly for those who have questions about how this court is to function.

Thanks Tom.

I am so looking forward to such Peace in the world that the ICC wouldn't need to exist. I know, I'm just a dreamer, but just think how grand it could be.
