A global women's rights treaty completed 30 years ago has a better-than-ever chance for U.S. Senate ratification this year, yet the hunt for the needed 67 favorable votes is likely to incur the wrath of activists on both the left and right.

Do you think the Muslims in places like Pakistan, Afghanistan are going to go against their ignorant religion and stop honor killings, stonings and beating up the women? I don't think so. Unless you're going to change their religion its not going to stop. As far as the UN's so called rights for everyone, its a bunch of crap. Under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights Article 29 (2) says "These rights and freedoms may in no case be exercised contrary to the purpose and principles of the United Nations.
Most of these rights the UN is suppose to be giving you are God Giving Rights as stated in the US Constitution. Whatever rights the UN gives you,it can take it away. What if the UN attacks some country and you voice your disapproval in a demonstration? Voicing your disapproval is contrary to the UN. They're so full of it.
