Sierra Club Leaders Who Hunt

Environment  (tags: hunting killing nature conservation hypo )

I have only just learned that many enviro groups support hunting, and their leaders are themselves hunters. This includes: Sierra Club, Wilderness Society, National Audubon Society, and World Wildlife Fund. These groups need to be boycotted, or worse

I believe that the way to end cruelty to animals is to identify what is wrong with people who are cruel to animals, who are cruel to other people and, most important, who are cruel to the only planet we live on.

If these people are within humanistic groups such as the Sierra Club, they need to be ejected because they are frauds, infiltrators from hell.

This problem is a mental defect that is apparently growing because of cruel tendencies in control structure, which includes corporations and government, and also cruel human families.

I am summing up information about this as a guide for action in wiki format: / Empathy_Model

I believe we must show how the "blood model" of human development is wrong. We must show that when Native humans kill animals, they are killing their own extended families. Natives are connected to the forests as part of their "community of knowledge." The empathic connection is emotional, and when they kill, they are making a sacrifice. They are actually killing their exteneded families.

This is one basis of the belief of after life, where a better life awaits the animal. This type of belief helps reduce the grief felt by the hunter; it is a major component of spirituality. It comes out in the Biblical story of Issac.

I have developed an idea that the soy bean, a completely domesticated plant that was developed over a very long period, developed with the best example of collaboration seen by the human race. This bean replaces the need for killing; in it are all the necessary component proteins for human health, and also a very good quality of oil. With this bean comes an escape from the necessity to kill animals, or to scavenge their meat.

A little about my own experience in going to church. St Francis day is the day of blessing animals. My small church, like many churches, consists mostly of the elderly. They look to me to start some revolution to end cruelty against animals. What they don't realize, that as a close knit community based on compassion, they are the revolution. Ironically, Chistianity, and certainly Buddhism, are revolutions, and provide good patterns for "humanizing" humanity.

Still much research is needed to create the documents necessary to create law, and as I mention, so is out reach about the mental, and probably genetic, mental defects that are killing us by reversing evolution-- in our time.

Also, non-violence has to be adopted by all. Property damage is a gray area in the terror struggle, so protest has to be exceptionally carefully designed to prevent the terror label being used to marginalize the animals themselves.

This does require the compassionate outreach with information to the whole of humanity: the "construction of knowledge," and the restoration of the natural and historical "communities of knowledge."

rocky mountain elk foundation ~ they're not trying to protect elk, they're trying to preserve land where elk live so they can hunt them! ~
