"The development of .. artificial intelligence could .. end .. the human race," Hawking has said. The Matrix suggested that possibility. The 1500's Jewish legend of the golem, a lifeless lump of clay animated by magic that ran amok, suggested the same.

Golem or artificial intelligence, we humans are doing ourselves in, slowly but surely. Thank you for posting, Ben.

We are imitating the creations of humans if we mess with the golem. Creator breathed his life and his intelligence into the Earth from which man was made .... His golem.

Creator was an artist and the joy of creating unlimited life forms was intoxicating I can hear Him singing over His works.

How did the human golems treat their Creator? They stomped his favorite creations. They tortured His
animals. They destroyed his lands and murdered their brothers.

Do you really imagine greedy, torturing human created golems will do otherwise?

We kicked G-D out of our schools, businesses, courts, homes.

Our "superior'' golems will kick our behinds off of the planet....those they don't torture and devour.

In the Old Testament it says "G-D repented that he had made man.

Do you think repenting is going to be fun/

Do you really imagine the golems man creates will act differently

Now these humans seem to have gone quite mad destroying all about them and themselves.
