Toyota is "temporarily" halting the sales of many of its passenger cars and trucks because it can't figure out why the accelerator pedal has stuck in some instances

Noted and Thank you Lone. It looks like Toyota is correct in putting safety first. However will the workers of the companies closed factories get some sort of pay to allow them to pay their bills and so on? They still need to live and eat!

With all their high-paid engineers, I can't understand why they can't figure out the design flaw.

This is serious and I hope those people are back to work soon! But I also hope the current automobiles on the road with a problem are fixed.

This follows the Japanese business model to a "t". I respect Japanese adherence to this highly effectice and sustainable business model.

Toyota is no.1 in my book they are absolutely right to do this. I remember the first Corolla I bought back in the early eighties. The toyota Corp sent me a survey on their vehicle and my buying experience they said if you answered and sent the survey back they would send you 1 dollar. I did and I got a dollar!! Very effective company how many do that nowadays?
