OMG . . . Collinsville, IL is where my father was born, raised and returned there to die. My maiden name is Mitchell ... maybe a long lost relative on the slave masters side? Hummm

Noted. I don't know what his lawyer is up to .. but the cop was going 126 mph .. to an accident that already had more than adequate police presence. There was no need for him to drive in this manner. He was just playing "big, bad important cop" .. and he killed two young women. That is the long and the short of it .. and I live in Collinsville.

Sadly, the same law applies here in South Africa. Here we have the additional criminal cops who accompany the Vip's. They see themselves completely above the law, drive at topspeed anywhere they can and just watch what happens if you do not get out of the way quickly enough.
A while ago, they shot at the tyres of a commuter, he rolled his car and was killed!
What happened after that?
You guessed it!
It was in the line of duty (whether it is or not)

If the trooper was on duty however, should the State not have to pay damages?
