Go ahead, scumbags, stop selling health insurance for children in favor of the Amighty Dollar. My rant here is #7.

I must be missing something here because it seems like some parents have purchased policies for their children who are currently well. Now, the feds have tried to eliminate the insurers refusing insurance based upon pre-existing conditions for children. And so, in response, insurance companies have canceled these previously purchased policies for children, who are currently healthy. So I understand this? It makes no sense to me. So what, if the insurance companies will have to sell insurance after a child becomes sick, they could still be collecting money from policies right now. The only difference that I see is that they aren't collecting money right now. However, the insurance industry is a cash cow industry in that they make money, year after year after year. Having seen some of the things that insurance companies have done in health care, I can only believe that they will find some way to NOT issue those policies for sick children. The only way to fix this is to dismantle ALL insurance companies and make them all non-profits under the rules and regulations of DHHS. It's the only way to take the greed out of the insurance game.
