The excuse for new "guidelines" allowing the EFF-BEE-EYE to pull all kinds of dirty tricks on unsuspecting innocents is "the guidelines are necessary to fulfill the FBI's core mission to predict threats and respond even before an attack takes place." HAH!

That dandy little quote above comes from our beloved Attorney General, MightKill Mucousy. We knew these new broad powers were coming - and now they are a reality.

From the article, that you really should read in its entirety:
'The new road map allows investigators to recruit informants, employ physical surveillance and conduct interviews in which agents disguise their identities in an effort to assess national security threats. FBI agents could pursue each of those steps without any single fact indicating a person has ties to a terrorist organization.'

Die Regierung ist Oberst!

Damn the captions are so tiny....the read, from left to right:

"Were you able to interrogate her with the new mid-link spell?"

"Did the new psychotropic herbs produce any answers?"

"What do you mean, she's just a librarian?"

How do you suppose this is all going to turn out?! Seems 'they' are getting quite desperate. Reminds me of dogs chasing their tails. Curious to see how this will be in a year's time... Thanks Cate, another great article.

Damn, sneaky little BFI They can't get it straight anyway does not matter it is Librarian or Octogenarian. They have the need to know. The FBI is just something that was. I think they need to worry more about the other outside the country

Homeland security at it's finest! One day, they will spy on the wrong person and this will end up in front of the Supreme court and "Homeland Security" will be a done deal, as in finis. They already restored habeas corpus because it was unconstitutional. The rest will go down in flames too.

Once again, we have here the old
Governmental Double-Standard:
It's against the law to lie to them
(a Supreme Court decision some years
ago ruled that it IS against the law
to refuse to identify yourself to law
enforcement), but if they want to lie
to us, to We The People, then there seems
to be no problem.
I'm going to quit typing now,
before I begin to swear.
Thanks, Cate.

With intelligence leaks within their own ranks perhaps they should start with new guidelines for themselves...
Homeland security...right ! Let's see so far this week we've heard how they listen in on "pillow talk" between our deployed troops as they make calls to wives/girlfriends that they haven't seen for as much as 12-15 months ..snicker, snicker..what ever get's you off boys.Meanwhile the score is Pirates 2, unsuspecting ships 0. While they are busy recruiting scum to find evidence wouldn't it be a kick if a pirate ship started doing hits on our shorelines..Maybe the FBI should sign up for Pirateering 101..heck a few swords, eye patches and head gear should be affordable in their budget..heck of alot greener than the DU our gov't used.

Since they have all this power, guess I better work on making my neighbors like me because I understand they still "ask the neighbors". Only a bunch of mine speak no English, so better bring a Spanish translator, boys. While you're at it, note that the back of my house needs to be scraped and painted, and the chain link fence is looking beat-up from being there since 1950. Spying doesn't pay the way it used to; they're down to minimum wage. HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Thanks, Ombretta. Hi, Tim, thanks for tuning in today...

Don't ye gin wurrin yerseaf silly na

This is the FBI we are talking about the initials the stand for Frigging Borderline Intelegence...and now folks they are going to disguise themselves and you know what they won't even recognise each other...so they will end up investigating every suspicious person eg themselves...yep that's what will happen a bit like a dog chasing its tail one person said..I say it will be the organisational equivilent of putting their head up their own butts...eventually they will dissappear and form little black holes of nothingness.

And it case you are worried about them reading what I have read I am not...as I have utilised several words with more than one sylible...they will spend the next thirty years trying to decyfer it..especially with the very Scottish Speelling. Haf fun boys.'an mine's a pint ta very much.

So just by a show of hands who's really surprised by this?

The power still lies with the people as we are the majority. We know it and they know it. That's why they concoct bully tactics such as this....

Remember, boys and girls, NEVER talk to the FBI. Just slam the door in their cute little faces. Don't even verify that they have the right person. You have the right to tell them to buzz the hell off.

Anything that you say WILL be twisted and used to haul you before a grand jury if it suits their purposes-----and that can mean being locked up for many months while the kangaroo court (the technical term for "grand jury") tries to figure out how to keep you there permanently.

Yee Gadzooks they must all be terrified! They've realized that the whole criminal fiasco that has hoodwinked the people, has slipped and the blinders are off. So their shorts are in a twist wondering what the people "might" do in retaliation! Hence bring out the Big Guns, sheesh what a bunch of cowards. Get their fingers stuck in the cookie jar and now they are blaming the people who have been kind enough to pay their wages. You know what folks, if you pay freakin' taxes in 2009 I give up on you. What can they take from you now??? They already have everything. Start Community Barter systems, go back to what the pioneers did. Scratch each other's backs instead of the "establishment, because this time the establishment HAS gone too far.

Its not a particulary new for goverment to play/ abuse the law but this lot. If the law is an Ass, bu$h would give it fangs and claws - A good example of why a police state attitude is a danger to society, not a help is the autrocity of the De Menezes case, but what to do ????

That was in New Mexico. I just moved from there because of the corruption.

Bush Wacks Facist America! I am an indie filmmaker and a Constitution person. I have of lately spoken to a family member of mine who is still with Bush. He told me the ACLU were anti-American and since he is a minister that if we vote democratic and same sex marriages are okay that he will be put in prison for preaching against homosexuality. I responded back to him with articles, videos, etc. He responded back to me that He was scared of Obama. I was in awe of his response. The laws that have been passed by the Bush Wack regime are the ones that will put people in prison. This is unconstitutional and the laws have to be repealed. This is not the same country that I was raised in. Sad!
