Thank you Jill, I was once engaged to a First Natiosn man. He loved to follow the oral tradition. I loved to hear it.

Noted, and thanks, Jill, for the article. As a child Nature was my best friend... my grandmother taught me about the different plants and how to use them... where to find the berries and nuts, and how to make things grow. In today's world, people have grown away from Mother Nature and only rape her of her resources... leaving her barren and cold. How terribly sad... I miss the old ways...

Thanks Jill. From July 1-9 we are celebrating the Adaka Festival which is a celebration of the arts, culture and storytelling of First Nations people here in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada. It is wonderful, and the oral tradition is very powerful.
