would like to see this eliminated from the lives of our feline friends. To do this is truly irreversible and very cruel.

you don't do this, I wouldn't like it to be done to myself with or without anesthesia. Besides they are cats and they hunt mice, that's their instinct. You want a cat with no claws buy a toy cat.

I couldn't sign this one, I tried, but I signed against it before. Thanks for posting it.

Cat declawing in England and Wales is illegal under section 5 of the Animal Welfare Act 2006 (AWA). If they can see it why can't we?

This petition is neither well-written, nor properly directed. That's why I'm not signing it, although I am prepared to sign a better petition against de-clawing that goes to the appropriate legislators.

Declawing is inexcusable. If you don't want to deal with claws, don't get a cat!

I have always thought this is an incredibly cruel thing to do, to such a beautiful creature with feelings and emotions. Is there a petition against this? please anyone tell me if there is. Thank you.

If we don't like barking we should not keep a dog. If we don't like cats the wat they are why keep one ?

Declawing a cat isn't like trimming it's nails. It's like cutting of the tips of their fingers. It is a long, painful and more than that an unnecessary procedure and we need to do everything we can to stop it.

Noted and signed, thanks Tonya. I am a little "torn" on this issue though, because even though I abhor the practice (and am vocal about it), I have known some happy and healthy declawed cats. There are SO many abandoned cats who need homes, and given the choice of death or a decent home with an idiot who cares that much about their furniture, I'd choose the nice idiot for the cat. Making sure vets educate people about how horrible it really is crucial, some people just don't know. Thanks.
