"Cell-phone data may be the most efficient way ever invented for a government to spy on its people - since people are planting the devices on themselves and even paying the monthly bills. The KGB never had anything like it."

Does this also apply to pay-as-you-go? Because PAYG phones could belong to anyone, they don't know whose it is. Unless you use your bank card to top up I suppose, but even then... Anyway, I won't have a contract phone for these reasons. Thanks Carol.

I have nothing to hide.I go to work,go to church,to the vet and spend many hours on Care 2 reading and signing petitions and forwarding the important stuff to my friends to get the facts out. BUT I still do not want some one keeping track of my every move. It's my life .We need a darn good petition to express our dislike of this and to let the goverment know we want this stopped now.Get it started and we'll sign it and guaranteed I will forward it

Lyriucs by Stephen Stills :

"There's something happening here
What it is ain't exactly clear
There's a man with a gun over there
Telling me I got to beware

I think it's time we stop, children, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

Battle lines being drawn
Nobody's right if everyone's wrong
People speaking their minds
Getting so much resistance from behind

Yeah, stop children, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

What a field-day for the heat
Ten thousand people in the street
Singing songs and carrying signs
Mostly say, hooray for our side

I think it's time we stop, children, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you're always afraid
Step out of line, the man come and take you away

Stop, children, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

You better stop!
You better stop!
You better stop!"

The law says stalking is illegal, and I agree with this. I would like to know how come it is legal for the government and any John Doe big company to track you. Cameras here, cameras there, here, there, everywhere, they stalk when they want too. The thing is that personal data should just be that. The internet in the wrong hands can be dangerous. Also in changing rooms, ladies PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!! SOMETIMES THEY WATCH AND GAWK AT YOU!! Being stalked, or track, what ever people wish to call it, is like being a prey to a preditor. Humans are hunters they say, and gatherers... yerh.. in the wrong hands this can be not so good huh?

Carol dear, you Do know that they (Big Brother) already Flag us on the Computer, YES,THEY DO. When we look up something like "Dante's Inferno" or the word explosive, see now they are probably watching me. Oh no!! Patricia I'm at work in the Senior Center and one of the Woodcarvers was just talking about how he just missed being Drafted to Viet Nam, and I told them about Raul a guy I grew up with since first grade who got killed over there, then I seen this song which was so appropriate. Now I'm gonna have that darn song stuck in my head all day. LOL

I thought you had to actually be USING the phone for it to ping to your location. I watch a lot of Forensic Files, and other true crime shows, and they all give the impression that it was only because a call was made or received from a phone that allowed to police to know where the suspect was at the time of the supposed alibi.
