When elephants retire, many head for the Elephant Sanctuary in Hohenwald, Tenn. They arrive one by one, but they tend to live out their lives two-by-two. "Every elephant that comes here searches out someone that she then spends most all of her time

I am teary eyed, but this time with happiness. Loved this video. Had to laugh when I heard that 'Bella' was the one being so protective of 'Tarra' instead of the other way around. Am glad that Bella is all better now and back to her old self, I saw how worried Tarra was. (Is there anyway we can send this to the Dallas Zoo?! So they will know just how important it is to get Jenny there ASAP???) (Doesn't seem like anything else is working, maybe this would do the job)...
Thank you for this amazing story Simone. Kudos to you!

I love this show, Simone, because their pieces are original and in-depth. This was one of the best wildlife pieces that I've ever seen!
Thanks!!!

Agree Kathy and Cal, they showed it on news, and it is so heartwarming and beautiful.

Beautiful story of how we as humans should behave too, sanctuary people have a right to make the decisions, we watch the video and we tell the story, back to basics, so that the child who heard it could relate it to his/her friends and this goes on like the old days when grandpa sits and tells stories. The cameras will scare these poor animals if allowed to make more of the story that goes on in the sanctuary , we all need to respect what they do for the animals and not sit judgment on why they do not allow a story to be made and filmed of these animals, they care for them, we do not it is their home and not ours.
