signed. in Michigan they have already voted about this, so people in Mi need to send emails to thier county shelters. the shelter can choose without a resolution signed to stop selling to class B dealers. this has to stop.

Citizens of Michigan need to start contacting the city or whomever runs this shelter and demand this stop and then contact your govenor, your congressperson, your senators and demand this stop. Your state can enact laws that prevent what is called "pound seizure". It is going to take the voice of the people living in the state of Michigan to stop this.

Every summer where I live dogs and cats just disappear. Last year it was Beagles, the year before it was black Labs. The HSUS actually has placed an award out for us. If I wasn't involved trying to help animals, I never would of know about Class B dealer jerks. On my way to sign...

A huge heartfelt THANK YOU to all who attended the commissioner's meeting!!

The commissioner's voted to extend the contract for another 6 months while a "blue ribbon" panel studies the issue and makes recommendations. The panel will consist of a local veterinarian and several other Montcalm County citizens.

While we didn't get the "NO" vote we were looking for, we believe it is a step in the right direction. We have a 6 month extention on the contract, but not a 5 year contract. That's a good thing for now.

Our work is not over, and the fight is not over. We ARE making a difference!! Thank you for your support!

I'll post links to the news stories when they come in. We had THREE newstations in attendance!

Write Or Call Montcalm County Commissioners!

PLEASE!!! When writing or calling, be respectful in your comments!!

NEW!!! FAX NUMBER FOR THE COMMISSIONERS!!

Thank you Simone. I was too late to sign the petition, but will keep an eye on it. Apparently the meeting is today according to what is on the site.
I would rather see the poor creatures humainly put to sleep than end up in that situation and that thought appalls me also.
