The three-year-old spur-thighed tortoise called Twinnie who is the size of a 50p coin would have died if the half inch wide stone blocking her bladder had not been removed. But her owner Lorna Parker, 46, from Norwich, spent £400 on surgery to remove

I never realized how complex surgery on a shelled animal could be. Drilling through the shell to get to the problem and then cementing the shell piece back into place and making sure the seal was water proof. The vet was very talented and really knew her business. It is grand to see such a devoted pet owner. Thank you, Simone

Oh wow... wonder how they found that out... they should of done the surgery for a lot less... it is very expensive in the UK..
