Ultimately we all need to give up eating all kinds of meat - unless researchers can develop vat-grown meat that does not require the sacrifice of any animal lives.

I had no idea horse meat was eaten by people in FRANCE, Italy, Argentina, and many more countries.
The more I learn, the more disheartened I become.

It can't stop at a ban on slaughtering...like with dogs and cats, the number of horses being bred must be reduced or there will be even more unwanted, mistreated horses with no home to go to....
Most important to me is legislation to stop the detestable corruption of the 'Wild Horse Annie' law protecting mustangs and burros, being rounded up in Nevada as we speak, with 30,000!!!!! being held in 'warehousing' lots, all for the profits made by cattlemen!

Truly disgusting anf heartless! I don't eat meat, fish or fowl-anything that has a soul. I've been healthy all my life- we don't need meat. Noted. Thanx for the article even though it made me sick to my stomach.

My horse was at a feedlot getting ready to head to slaughter. I don't even want to think about what would have happened if I hadn't gotten him. Noted; thanks
