In Spain, bullfights are broadcasted live on several TV channels. CAS International has campaigned for years against one of these channels, which in the past dedicated a lot of air time to bullfighting: TVE

While bullfighting has a long cultural history, I hardly see how it can be justified in this day and age.

AWESOME! I know that one day bull fighting will be illegal, along with greyhound racing and horse racing... but I sure do wish that it were now!!

Great news ! It was good to hear about the concern for children being exposed to such horrible images ! And how they're showing more protest and criticism toward bull fighting . The only hope is the young people , really ... If the CHILDREN can be taught compassion for the bulls , maybe someday this will all end ... :)

Good news - another small brick in the long path towards this cruelty being banned completely.

Whatever it takes, I say. This ban on bullfighting being shown on TV has apparently happened because of a children's program poking fun at the matadors, and making them appear foolish! So, the ban on showing bullfighting has been extended because of the cartoon success...brilliant.
