PERTH wildlife officers have successfully rescued a kangaroo, after its leg became caught in a discarded hubcap in Pinnaroo, in Perth's far northern suburbs The incident was reported to the Department of Environment and Conservation on Saturday

that poor kangaroo must have been so frightened. it's great they were able to free it without harming the animal.

I'm glad the kangeroo is OK - or we pray he will be OK, and there was people there who were willing to take a chance on him.

This makes me think even more about our "disposable" society and the problems it creates for wildlife and the environment. Whoever came up with the phrase "reduce, reuse, recycle" had it right. "Live simply so others can simply live" is another good one. Fortunately this kangaroo received help before it was too late!

Wow, from the photo the poor thing was indeed lucky it didn't slice his lower leg off!!! A heartfelt thank to his rescuers!!!!
