There ae many slaveries. Quite a few of them are self imposed.
But those human impose each other are the most ominous, they break all limits and should be ended.

Ibelieve that we are far more responsible for these sort of situations than we acknowledge slavery and also near slavery in the fashion industry and the household goods and electronic industries is neccessary to fuel our throw away habits and our constant pre-occupation with fashion, shopping and keeping up with the Joneses.

The poverty which provides the human resources for a lot of our trade has been engendered by our wars and promotion of wars ,and our colonialism and above all with our habit of keeping up with the Joneses and throwing everything aw3ay ,as well as valueing people on what they have rather than what they've got in the way of intelligence ,moral fibre and the capacity to love and to act with compassion and integrity

We had a video on Fakes in the fashion and pharmaceutical industries as well as electronics and home goodson our TV here recently.
What it highlighted was that all these industries are rife with slavery.
At the beginning of a supply chain for for instance a fake high fashion handbag from,Thailand or fake high fashion sneakers from China and other parts of Asia or fake medicines including Viagra and Anti-Malarial drugs and Anti-Cancer and also Aids treatments lie often slaves who are sometimes even chained and who are frequently children.

They are forced to do over seventy hours a week and are bought from poverty stricken parents and used frequently by criminal groups who are involved in the production and distribution of fakes.

Apparently in Nigeria alone over a million deaths are caused yearly by illegallly produced fake drugs . These are also distributed over the internet and have found their way into the local pharmacies in Britain and presumably in the States too,and they are probably distributed here in Australia as well though that was implied rather than said,.
