Factory farms are regulated under a patchwork system that leaves communities vulnerable to often indifferent and underfunded state environmental enforcement. Factory farm permitting rules released by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 2008 only

Regulation of this many processing facilities is next t impossible. INSTEAD, what we need to do is petition the Federal Government to stop subsidizing these massive agri-businesses so that they must compete on a level playing field with small, REAL farms.

IT is because our Government subsidizes these industries that they are able to grow to such a massive, unmanagable size in the first place. Stop giving them handouts and the REAL farms will rise to the top, and people will stop buying food from the massive factory farms

But as long as people are buying the cheapest food out there, we will have this problem,.
