Let's hope common sense prevails and sufficient land is protected. The last thing we need is more palm oil!

One day this will be no more!

Isaiah 11:6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

Isaiah 65:25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.

Why on earth would millions of years of evolution lead to a system where lions eat straw? No offense, but let's preserve what IS rather than impose our idea of "order" on nature.

Let's hope they survive. The jungle in Borneo is de-forested much like the Amazon due to the want for teak.
Their ruling elite is considered one of the wealthiest people on our planet - guess why?

"Other carnivore species, including the elusive Borneo bay cat (Catopumabadia) were recorded in Kuching and the Baram region of Sarawak, "

"Kuching" is Malay for "cat" and there is a city in Sarawak named "Kuching", where there is a museum of cat figurines - The Cat Museum.

Well, as Indonesia is one of the three states with a stake in Borneo I do not feel very hopeful, sadly. Indonesia has a terrible track record, and according to my dear friend Josie, who lives in Bandung, Java (a large island which is part of Indonesia) her country is the most corrupt in the whole of Asia, and that is saying quite a lot.
