Thank you for posting. Signed. That's going to need a gazillion signatures. Animal control Superiors need to be contacted. Everything depends on their policies.

#84, thanks. If they are not "no kill" then they shouldn't be called "shelters"!

Signed & noted. NO KILL!!!!! If you don't make any attempt to solve the problem of overpopulation then how do you have the right to KILL as the solution?!

Thanks Simone
And you took the words tright out of my mouth Jen D. We MUST, no matter what, get as many animals spayed and neutered as possible. No "surplus" pets, nothing to kill. I would love to see all that moeny spent killing animals used to prevent overpopulation.

*** You cannot currently send a star to Jen because you have done so within the last week.

ALSO: the last line of the posting story says, "Sign the petition and we will work towards ending Kill Shelters and possibly developing a National database to register and track all shelter dogs, which could lead to more adoptions and help lost dogs find their owners."

My question: Whjy JUST shelter dogs? Why NOT shelter cats?
