Yesterday there was another Clown Car Destruction Derby in Florida. Don’t ask me which. I lost count long ago. I took the only rational approach to watching it. Fearing that George would revolt, if I filled him with barf again, I didn’t even turn it on. I did read about it, and would offer some highlights, but there were none. Here are some lowlights instead.

And watching my lawn grow is not only more stimulating, it is less stressful.  Watching the President and that cute Justin Trudeau yesterday only makes it more painful to watch Larry, Curly and Mo.

And Trump has quietly replaced his reported policy statements on his website with standard GOP talking points in many areas...doesn't want those who voted for him based on those to know?

GOOD AFTERNOON AND THANK YOU FOR THIS ARTICLE- even though they did not tear each other apart like rabid dogs - they are still lying and not giving any truthful information as to what each candidate do to help us and our country- every time a moderator ask a question - not one candidate will commit themselves to helping us - all they speak about is what they can take away from all citizens -from our voting rights - woman's health - affordable care for all citizens- low and or free tuition for college- help and aid for veterans and their families -not doing away with the VA - better an higher education - not disolving the department of education- improving the IRS so we can get more money to pay down the debt -not closing the IRS - where will AMERICA get the money to pay for service and infrastructure-and bills - THESE CLOWNS MAKE NO SENSE WHAT SO EVER and that egomaniac trump will make it even worse- by pushing away every country-every nationality- every religion AND AS HE EMBRACES THE HATRED AND ANGER OF THE NAZI'S AND KKK -HE IS ALLOWING THEM TO TAKE OVER AND TAKE THIS COUNTRY BACK IN THE WRONG DIRECTION- SHAME ON TRUMP AND SHAME ON THE REPUBLICANS FOR ALLOWING TRUMP AND HIS BROWN SHIRT AND WHITE SHEETS to take over america---sincerely KAY M.

I heard there were as many insults last night, that they actually focused on "policy", well, I can see from your synopsis TomCat, their idea of "policy" is as freaking stupid as is their idea of decorum. The BEST thing I watched today was Elizabeth Warren tearing them a new one over their obstructionism. And not just for the SCOTUS fiasco, she went all the way back to Mitch vowing to make Obama a one term president and pretty much just told the truth from there. They've done nothing since. The three lowest rated and least productive Congresses in history. And they're proud of it. They believe their own press clippings and oh my would I like to see their faces the day after election day this fall. They'll blame their record breaking defeat on Obama too. And for the first time in 8 years will be right.

I do not have the opportunity to watch or to pass on any of the debates, so I took you up on your challenge to read the whole Alternet article, TomCat, to keep myself informed. Sigh...My husband just cut our grass for the first time this year so now I'm going outside and sit in the sun - with my coat on, though - and watch the grass grow back again to clear my mind of the debate residue. I may be out for some time.

It is funny that you call it the clown car because this election and last when they were announcing the Republican line up I felt like It was the clown lineup as they were all such fools. This is a scary election year. I did hear that at last there was a peaceful debate. i am sure it was still ridiculous as all of them are. I try not to listen too closely to them as I might not be able to sleep at night.

Dear World, On behalf of the rational, reasonable Americans who are as dumbfounded as you are by the Republican presidential candidates running this year, I offer sincere apologies. Perhaps it's the lead in the water, or a secret feasting by zombies, or the culmination of years of snorting Koch, but these evil, misogynistic, racist, insane, and just plain horrific creatures do not represent us.

For whoever decided to bring this to the public's attention, you must have been behind Trump. It is only getting him more attention.

People will need to get out and vote in record numbers to prove they want to save our republic and democracy as it should be, not what it is right now: an oligarchy. In my view this next election will be the most important in decades.
