4:02 Not much nutrition in a butterfly, even a "large" one. And I hope neither the butterfly nor the flower is poisonous to cats.

Keith #80 - And Cory Booker jumped to Jared's defense (and, coincidentally, received a sweet contribution as a result). [There's a petition to tell him to GIVE IT BACK here:] I can live with Booker in the Senate (although, of course, I'd prefer a real Democrat), but he had better not think he can run for President on a Democratic ticket, EVER. As for Jared - here's my take - there is no reason to bypass due process here. Rescinding someone's security clearance does not require due process, only suspicion. And if a person whose clearance has been rescinded is cleared, they can get it back, no harm, no foul. So what we should do is rescind the security clearances of (at least) Trump, Pence, Kushner, and Ryan should be rescinded. Of course, with no security clearances they will be unable to do their respective jobs, so the action will make Orrin Hatch acting President. Temporarily, of course.

TNY - My, that typo got a lot of attention! You can go to almost any liberal site and find comments which, though the word has gotten to be just clickbait most of the time, are truly hilarious.

NYT - Of course this administration intended to reduce the size of government. But if they are unable to get replacment for positions they actually wanted to fill, the reduction may get to the point where even they will admit it's too much. And won't THAT be something!

Cartoon - It would be interesting to look at repeal on a state by state basis to see what would happen. I am not advocating repeal, but it would seem difficult to come up with anything worse than the current Republicans in the Senate.

We were beginning to get some sort of solidarity and progress but Kathy Griffin made that stupid video or photo and turned us back two hundred years. We can't get ahead with that type of violent message. I am really upset about it.

KO: List gets longer and longer. Espionage, collusion with a foreign government, obstruction of justice, banking, etc., pick him up/arrest him! Get them all.!!

NYer: When I first read this, I thought it was a joke. Then I saw the tweet online. What an id.

NYT: What goes around, comes around. Slap dab in the face, dt. He's living in a fantasy world, imho.

Cartoon: Of course they do.

Prayers & good wishes to you for tomorrow. Hope you get to & from your home safely too. Take good care, and Thanks, Tom.

*Gloria: I agree re: Kathy Griffin. Wasn't that just downright awful? She's lost her job at CNN over it too.

Keith: I suspect that Jared's arrest is, indeed, in the offing…or at least in the Covfefe!
New Yorker: Alzheimer's can do that to you! Where's tht idiot doctor who swore that Rumpthing was the bigly healthiest person to EVER run for the presidency?
NY Times: At the gym, last night, I saw a "Headline" on CNN News, that read: "Trump, Alone and Angry." My thoughts:
1- Good for you!
2- Karma can bite, huh?
3-Be careful about what you wish for!
4- Gee, have you alienated everybody?
5- You never did care about other people's feelings, or needs!
6-You really couldn't help yourself, could you?
7- It's your narcissistic drive that drove you here.
8- That's kind of sad, being a "prisoner" of your own mental disorder.
9- For which, seen in others, you have no capacity for compassion!!
10- And it drives you to hurt others.
11- May you be free of your sickness and pain, whether you acknowledge having them, or not. (in your deluded state)

Sessions testified falsely under oath to Al Franken.
Today I am reading that cuts to Social Security and Medicare are off the Table. GOOD!
Keith has it right This is Serious!

Protocols would dictate multiple security clearances being revoked and several more resignations...just not ofthe people Trump wants to replace. Glad some people have sufficient self-respect not to consider this WH.

I hope this medical appointment will go smoothly this time and you won't have to battle the bus company while you're legally blind, TomCat. Good luck.

Keith Olbermann: After having looked at the issue from top to bottom, sideways and back to front, Keith draws the only logical conclusion: arrest Kushner now.

TNY: Stamina is not what came to my mind when I read about the covfefe. I pictured a Drumpf, having been scolded too often by either Bannon, Ivanka or Kushner for tweeting too much, hiding with a flashlight under the blankets and then, startled by being caught mid-tweet, hastily pushing some buttons until he hit 'send'.

NYT: It's lonely at the top, isn't it, Drumpf? Normally the rats will leave a sinking ship, in this case they won't even come aboard.

Puzzle — 3:50  Sorry preety butterfly but I could not save you.  However, Puddy Tat has an eye doctor's appointment tomorrow and the eye drops they use will very temporarily render almost blind.  Get the hell out of there before he gets his sight back!  You have to save yourself this time.

YouTube — To quote Keith, "Arrest Kushner now!"  This entire administration is awash in incompetency and scandal, things that are hurting the US's international standing.  Right now it looks llike the tarnish will never be removed.  From Drumpf on down, the chief architects of this Republican train wreck need to be removed.

The New Yorker — Straight reporting indeed!  I'm not sure if Drump realises that he is being laughed at, not laughed with.  He is such a twit, an odious one at that.

NY Times — Drumpf made his bed and now he must lay in it!  Who in their right mind would want to lay down there with him.  If one consorts with dogs, one gets fleas, and who wants fleas!  Just listening to the talk of foreign leaders after having to deal with him, one can certainly understand why nobody wants to jump into the cesspool of an administration.

Cartoon — Why stop at the 17th amendment?  Republicans want to repeal big sections of the Constitution so that they can stack the deck in their favour . . . permanently!
Resist and Persist!!!

Good luck tomorrow!  It seems like you've waited a long time for the cataract surgery.  My father had it done years ago and was pleased with the results.  He did not think women should drive, but who did he call to drive him to the doctor's office — his daughter of course!  Hey I was glad to do it but I wasn't so happy to babysit his wife who by then had Alzheimer's.  Anyway, hope this trip is uneventful.

Sending be wells for your eyes, TC - may all go just fine.
Word is that trump is retreating into himself, gaining weight, and being grumpy. Hmm. His tweets do not reflect a man who is healthy in mind or body.
I would love to see both Jared and Sessions in jail or at the very least out on their butts. As for Kathy Griffin, not a fan- but she did apologize and sincerely, too - have never heard any GOP apologize for all the "shoot em, hang em, burn em" photos of Obama. But it's still another distraction and we should all be focused on resisting, repelling and reversing.

I'm beginning to think that mental illness is a requirement set forth by the GOP for their candidates who run for office of any kind. They scored big in that department with Trump for sure...i.m.o.

Our energetic Orange Orifice took a golf cart for the 700 yard trek made on foot by all the other leaders of the G-7 in Taormina. Today, he withdrew the US from the Paris Agreement. I can't even fathom the thought process that led to this...covfefe. I'm just heartsick. Borowitz: "Earth is a terrible, very bad planet,” Donald J. Trump said. “It’s maybe the worst planet in the solar system, and it’s far from the biggest.”

Hoping your medical treatments are uneventful, successful, and easy.

4:09. Sadly, our government has become corrupt so fast that it's hard to imagine anyone bothering to arrest Kushner, though he certainly has broken the law. Maybe Drumpf will wear himself out worrying about what everyone else in the country thinks of him and resign; wouldn't that be a treat... I know, I know, it's a pipe dream. Hope your cooler weather is holding. Thanks for the post, TomCat.
