this family has always been knowing when to shift investments from unsafe to safe havens, this is just a later example of doing what is good for your fortune and good for the world.. there are investors who are caring for both, it is not impossible to find a few examples...

Gleefully noted! Thanks for sharing, Wilde. Hope Exxon (and the rest of the Big Oil companies) get the Book thrown at them!

Is Satan getting mellow? Does he think the 1% are tarnishing his name? This is sure an odd piece of news--and I'll try to believe it is sincere and a step in the direction of attempting to save what's left of Earth and all living. Thanks Wilde.

Agree with others. Wish people who only believe in greed would disappear from our planet. Thanks Wilde

There is a certain irony to the descendants of a man, John D. Rockefeller, who was absolutely, unequivocally, morally reprehensible;using that term and then divesting themselves from the root of the family fortune, oil..

Noted. Thanks, Wilde.
Well, the article states this would be "effective immediately." (Might've been smarter to divest when oil was selling higher). So, this is kind of surprising, since oil has recently dropped quite low. But, it is good news.

This is not the fund with all the money though. I heard this on the radio yesterday and I am gal for this at least but it is not the big money being divested as there are Rockefellers who do not agree with this.
