Hillary Clinton's Path to Victory

US Politics & Gov't  (tags: USA, Presidential primary, presidential trail, Democratic primary race, HILLARY CLINTON, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Florida )

Saturday, in a state-of-the-race conference call, campaign officials spoke elliptically about the road ahead, but it was rather clear where they were going. Pennsylvania, Florida, Michigan, the convention.

Just trying to keep everyone up on the latest with the debate on what's going to happen with the Michigan & Florida delegates......and what's important to Hillary still in the race for the Democrat nomination.

Noted, and thank you Kathy.

I am really tiring over, the Michigan and Florida delegates and primary issues. As a Michigan resident, I was rallying my community for at least a week, before our primary to vote. I knew our Democratic delegates would still be seated somehow at the National Convention. All our local news explained very clearly, if your Democratic candidates name wasn't on the ballot, that you were to vote under the "uncommitted". Well, many Obama and Edward supporters said "NO", and they boycotted the primary, AND IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH NOT KNOWING IT WOULDN'T COUNT. Now, if they would've voted..., Hillary would've lost against "herself" as the national news would have broadcasted all over the world, and she took a huge risk that this didn't happen.

Now, the FACTS OF WHO WAS ON THE MICHIGAN BALLOT. The NATIONAL news KEEPS reporting that HILLARY was the only name on the Democratic Ballot, in the Michigan Primary, in January. Well..., some report it correctly by saying her name was the only LEADING Democratic candidate on the Ballot, but SOME HAVEN'T reported it correctly, and that has been misleading to the public.

Michael Gravel and Dennis Kucinich WERE ON THE MICHIGAN DEMOCRATIC BALLOT. Chris Dodd pulled out at the last minute, and it was very confusing, we lived it. The media always only address the "LEADING CANDIDATES", and in their egotistic view it has been Hillary, Barack, John Edwards, until Edwards dropped out. I SAW the ballot I was voting on, I know the facts. I am sickened that Barack is using this claim that he pulled him name from the ballot, "to abide by the rules of the party", when he DIDN'T DO THAT IN FLORIDA.....

He pulled his name off Michigan to assure their would be an open-door to dispute, if Hillary won, while he ran off to campaign hard for Nevada, where Hillary won in popular votes, but Barack won more pledged Delegates.

As far as progress on a redo on a primary, the campaigns have agreed to a date of June 3, and that is all they have agreed on, up to this point. Some legislation would have to be passed, and then the Republicans will want something..............., so this is just causing much frustration with the people of Michigan. I hope Florida is progressing better than us.

Dar, I think U are spot on with that. yeah, it is no fair. But how can they run a democracy by taking away people's votes, willy-nilly. There should be NO excuse for Michigan & Florida's votes not to count! Florida voted & they chose Hillary and they even have a Republican Senator and the people never got to vote whether they would change the primary date up & be discredited of their delegates. All seems a bit tricky to try to keep a woman out of office, that the people may be even worse than the tricks they did to keep Gore out..because people know of it sooner and are not protesting ...If they do not let the votes of Michigan & Florida stand as they were cast (and that she won) then quite frankly, you do not live in a true democracy afterall. And if so, then that should be pretty scary to the rest of us too!

Oh it is getting ugly in Michigan! Senator Barack is trying TO BLOCK A REVOTE. If he doesn't change his mind in the next day or so, WE WILL HAVE A HUGE PROBLEM, FOLKS. Yep, Senator Obama don't care about Michigan voters, and he is sending us that message, LOUD AND CLEAR.

I know Florida, is just as upset.

If he does not want a recount then he will just have to accept Hillary's wins.
U cannot just erase voters. Can u? I would not any a leader who tried to erase my vote, once cast.

There will be NO REVOTE in Michigan. Now it is up to the DNC. This is absolutely, insane. Florida's delegates should just be seated, all the candidates were on the ballot, so I don't know why Obama was blocking everything there too. This shows me how much he REALLY cares about "we the people" and His road to the Presidency. He obviously doesn't care about our votes in the general election, big mistake.
