Most of the mainstream media is still unjustifiably protecting President Obama by twisting, candy-coating and cherry-picking through the presidential facts of our daily news content, in order to obtain their goals and to further fulfill their questionable multifaceted agendas.

"We The People" are constantly being safely kept outside of this operating inner-loop, being left outside only to scratch our heads in wonder as to what is 'really' going on behind those closed doors of our perpetually gridlocked White House.

Many negative reports have been recorded coming out of the White House by leading authors and researchers of late, but only to be immediately attacked and prematurely dismissed by the mainstream press.

This must be a new version of transparency to be viewed through a hidden veil of corruption and secrecy, that President Obama is personally hand-crafting with the help of his wife and other political cronies, which extends from Chicago to Washington, D.C. ...

And of course let's not fail to admit that they are even utilizing Hollywood, California (Home of the Masters of Illusion) ...

Thus allowing the Obama administration to continue their attempt to appear sweet-n-clean through the smoke and mirrored reflections and to therefore allow them a continuation of their brand of empty political promising ...

Via an endless campaign of self-degrading finger-pointing and blame-storming, which is spiraling unabated out-of-control and ever onward along a road toward entirely new levels of unethical political depravity.

Click 'Like' to say eternally goodbye to "The Obamas" right now.

It's scary for me to think about how a sleeping American public could be duped so badly by a common ordinary Chicago politician.

And if their reign of confusion is allowed to continue in the White House in 2013, then the U.S. will surely be doomed.

"The Obamas" = 1% Rich Elite and they have all forgotten everything concerning the 99% being forced to live in the streets, which has become self-evident throughout the last 3.2 years of legislation!!

Jason must not have read the previous comments or visited the site link, because his statement is simply a personal opinion, that is based in personal self-political protectionism and is not based in facts, because ...

There is a vast number of mainstream articles available to show President Obama to be a questionable and gridlocked failure! ...

However, everyone has a right to harbor their own personal opinion, but it would be advisable to check out the Internet first before making any final decision ...

Just some important food for thought here!

No matter who wins in 2012, by the end of 2013, the people are going to demand Ron Paul's long overdue Foreign Policy and monetary system. The 2 core issues, when fixed, will have other stuff fading away as having been trivial, for we will have sound money so we then can take care of ourselves. (These are 2 sound principals to build on.) Yes too me, the tangents of abortions or any civil rights gains, ''they'' claim have made, will end up getting fixed, by sound money, and reducing our military.

Keep this insanity up and good luck. This monetary system has the world on the brink of an economic collapse. The Banking money power took over from the start, with many battles over them during the 1800s. Kucinich has some good ideas on how to get out of the beast of the Fed, by putting it under the Treasury, not the other way around as it appears to many.

No really Bee Hive, most of those reading this already know that you still champion the questionable and gridlocked Obama, which stands-up for and defends an indefensible political position maintaining permanent national stagnation.

Our only hope for change now is that the pro-Obama supporter numbers continues to dwindle down from just a wanton handful of aimless rabble ... Down to only an old woman and her cat ... Down to none at all in the coming months! ...

But there will always be hardcore Liberals and hardcore Democrats who will not relinquish their political pipe-dreams, and these individuals are always called "The Holdouts".

noted..I wish that Ron Paul would be voted in and not discriminated against because of his age, etc. His policies are sound and they need to be implemented. Seems many have a problem with changes that will only benefit and not detract from this country. Our monetary system is in collapse and as for our Foreign begins at home. No other country has done as much as we have to help others....

This is not a Democrat or Republican issue. The system is irrevocably broken. I would suggest all of you take a look a Rocky Anderson, former two time SLC Mayor, founder and chair of Highway to Humanity. As Mayor, he applied the Kyoto protocols to SLC and surpassed them by 41%. His contribution policy is $100 per election cycle. It won't matter who you vote for whether it be D or R, either one are too influenced by the obscene money which drives the American political system.

Six Monolithic Corporations That Control Nearly Everything We Watch, Hear And Read

Back in 1983, approximately 50 corporations controlled the vast majority of all news media in the United States. Today, ownership of the news media has been concentrated in the hands of just six incredibly powerful media corporations. These corporate behemoths control most of what we watch, hear and read every single day. They own television networks, cable channels, movie studios, newspapers, magazines, publishing houses, music labels and even many of our favorite websites. Sadly, most Americans don’t even stop to think about who is feeding them the endless hours of news and entertainment that they constantly ingest. Most Americans don’t really seem to care about who owns the media. But they should. The truth is that each of us is deeply influenced by the messages that are constantly being pounded into our heads by the mainstream media. The average American watches 153 hours of television a month. In fact, most Americans begin to feel physically uncomfortable if they go too long without watching or listening to something. Sadly, most Americans have become absolutely addicted to news and entertainment and the ownership of all that news and entertainment that we crave is being concentrated in fewer and fewer hands each year.

The six corporations that collectively control U.S. media today are Time Warner, Walt Disney, Viacom, Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp., CBS Corporation and NBC Universal. Together, the “big six” absolutely dominate news and entertainment in the United States. But even those areas of the media that the “big six” do not completely control are becoming increasingly concentrated. For example, Clear Channel now owns over 1000 radio stations across the United States. Companies like Google, Yahoo and Microsoft are increasingly dominating the Internet.

But it is the “big six” that are the biggest concerns. When you control what Americans watch, hear and read you gain a great deal of control over what they think. They don’t call it “programming” for nothing.

Back in 1983 it was bad enough that about 50 corporations dominated U.S. media. But since that time, power over the media has rapidly become concentrated in the hands of fewer and fewer people….

In 1983, fifty corporations dominated most of every mass medium and the biggest media merger in history was a $340 million deal. … [I]n 1987, the fifty companies had shrunk to twenty-nine. … [I]n 1990, the twenty-nine had shrunk to twenty three. … [I]n 1997, the biggest firms numbered ten and involved the $19 billion Disney-ABC deal, at the time the biggest media merger ever. … [In 2000] AOL Time Warner’s $350 billion merged corporation [was] more than 1,000 times larger [than the biggest deal of 1983].

Today, six colossal media giants tower over all the rest. Much of the information in the chart below comes from The chart below reveals only a small fraction of the media outlets that these six behemoths actually own….

These gigantic media corporations do not exist to objectively tell the truth to the American people. Rather, the primary purpose of their existence is to make money.

These gigantic media corporations are not going to do anything to threaten their relationships with their biggest advertisers (such as the largest pharmaceutical companies that literally spend billions on advertising), and one way or another these gigantic media corporations are always going to express the ideological viewpoints of their owners.

Fortunately, an increasing number of Americans are starting to wake up and are realizing that the mainstream media should not be trusted. According to a new poll just released by Gallup, the number of Americans that have little to no trust in the mainstream media (57%) is at an all-time high.

That is one reason why we have seen the alternative media experience such rapid growth over the past few years. The mainstream media has been losing credibility at a staggering rate, and Americans are starting to look elsewhere for the truth about what is really going on.

Do you think that anyone in the mainstream news would actually tell you that the Federal Reserve is bad for America or that we are facing a horrific derivatives bubble that could destroy the entire world financial system? Do you think that anyone in the mainstream media would actually tell you the truth about the deindustrialization of America or the truth about the voracious greed of Goldman Sachs?

Sure there are a few courageous reporters in the mainstream media that manage to slip a few stories past their corporate bosses from time to time, but in general there is a very clear understanding that there are simply certain things that you just do not say in the mainstream news.

But Americans are becoming increasingly hungry for the truth, and they are becoming increasingly dissatisfied with the dumbed down pablum that is passing as “hard hitting news” these days.

Thanks a lot, Reagan.

Right is the "HAVE'S and the HAVE NOTS" To me sadly all politicans are MONEY GRABBERS lately, but, OBAMA to say "I am sorry to a Nation that America was a War with" is an insult to me...for this I will protect all of the people that fought so hard for our Country! " Giddy UP OBAMA" and may you never ever be in a position to SAY YOU ARE SORRY FOR A NATION that you sadly never led! There was no Change, you caved in...(in fact, the Environment is sadly WORSE) while I do agree with a ton of you that fight so hard against Republicans, it is distressing to me that we frankly really DON'T HAVE TO MANY CHOICES!

Oh, now we have a comedian running, well, sadly he will probably WIN!

What about David Letterman???? Rin Tin many out there...Personally, can we IMPORT another PERSON to RUN? If so We need to look outside of the box! Thankfully, even though all of you hate Republicans, they have blocked a ton of things, also while I am sadly not in agreement with all of the issues that have been blocked, I hate seeing almost 4 parties running in this election!

This is a sure way to say WELCOME BACK OBAMA! Cripes!

You know, PinkMindy, if you persist in saying false things that are so easily checked, no one will believe anything you say. It's even offensive to me that you would try to present AFP as a source, especially on energy, when I'm sure you know full well that AFP is the Kochs. There was a time when the American right and those who assist the right could tell a decent lie, but now they're just phoning it in.

"It’s often claimed that the Solyndra loan guarantee was “rushed through” by the Obama Administration for political reasons. What critics fail to mention is that the Solyndra deal is more than three years old, started under the Bush Administration, which tried to conditionally to approve the loan right before Obama took office. Rather than “pushing funds out the door too quickly,” the Obama Administration restructured the original loan when it came into office to further protect the taxpayers’ investment. Then in August 2011 the DOE refused to bail out Solyndra, precipitating the company’s bankruptcy." In addition, Solyndra accounts for less than 3% of the DOE's highly successful loan program. "The only "scandal" is how the GOP continues to relentlessly pursue all their failed Energy policies of the past.

And the fact that they get to put the brakes the Country's inevitable Energy Future, in the process ... all to benefit their Big Oil benefactors. As they continue provide untold billions in their Oil subsidies. Subsidies unexamined, by the harsh glare of GOP hypocrisy.

Charley Reese's final column for the Orlando Sentinel...
He has been a journalist for 49 years.
He is retiring and this is HIS LAST COLUMN

This is about as clear and easy to understand as it can be. The article below is completely neutral, neither anti-republican or democrat. Charlie Reese, a retired reporter for the Orlando Sentinel, has hit the nail directly on the head, defining clearly who it is that in the final analysis must assume responsibility for the judgments made that impact each one of us every day. It's a short but good read. Worth the time. Worth remembering!

545 vs. 300,000,000 People
-By Charlie Reese

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The President does.

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a President to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The President can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? John Boehner. He is the leader of the majority party. He and fellow House members, not the President, can approve any budget they want. If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.
If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.
If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.
If the Army & Marines are in Iraq and Afghanistan it's because they want them in Iraq and Afghanistan ...

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.
They, and they alone, have the power.
They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.

Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees...
We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

OWS is going to be what the people make it. I hope we can focus on things that will help all 7 Billion Humans, flying through space on Beautiful Mother Earth.

Since we need sound money, which we have never had, lets gt out of the Fed. The best way I've hard to do that, is to follow what North Dakota has been doing fine with for 90 years, with its State Bank. Other States are studying how to do it.

If we don't fix Healthcare, the price will double in 10 years, probably with less care. Vermont's and Montana's Single Payer could very well be worth other States checking out. Just Imagine that drug companies cared more for health and less for profit.

And need we mention that ending the wars is a must. Why the hell not close all over seas Military Bases, and put the Vets, and others to work rebuilding this Broken Promised Land?

But on other thing: Communities should study how to set up the Worker Ownership of the Mondragon Cooperative, of the Basque in Spain. There is an Evergreen Cooperative in Cleveland, and Richmond California, is putting people to work by starting smaller Cooperatives. Its a better way to work. Don't we all want that?

My thoughts on what I think could simply fix this mess we are now in.

Obama is definitely not doing enough He is carrying on too many Bush era policies to our detriment. Though, he doesn't scare me as much as any of the proposed alternatives. Really we couldn't find any better candidates in all of the US? That doesn't say much for us.

Every candidate is in that 1%. Bush was in that 1%, I really doubt Obama is, though he goes along with them.. What's new? Our politicians are just like the politicians all around the world. They are in it to make themselves RICH and screw the majority.

I will swear to death that we would be best served if we got The Doctor Ron Paul the GOP Nomination so that we could hear his (much misunderstood) policies properly debated heads up with President Obama. We have mainly only heard sound bites...that scare the living hell out of the status quo corporate owned Media-gov.

It is not enough to say that we want Obama to be defeated. We also need to present a viable progressive alternative. For myself, I am supporting Green Party presidential candidate: Dr. Jill Stein.

Jason R. I'd love to send you many GS's , alas the one you got will have to do until next week. The dumbing of America's and the rest of the World's peoples by a few greedy individuals and their "living" corporations is exactly what is happening. And, more to the point, we deserve it if we are too lazy to THINK for ourselves OUTSIIDE THE proverbial "main stream media BOX"
To Michael Dewey, Hungary tried to do exactly what Kucinich proposes re the Feds and look where it got them. Junk bond status. The powers that be behind the big banks don't want anyone setting a precedent of this sort. I believe this whole fiasco of financial disasters is artificially created and it helps creating panic amongst us the 99%. Let's not forget who got the World into this huge mess in the first place. Back to you Bankers. p.s. I recommend reading books by Naomi Klein

Americans entering the Food Stamp Program is rapidly escalating ... Thanks to the failed policies via President Obama!!!

Stimulus 1 & Stimulus 2 rather than creating jobs back in mid-2009 as was recommended to the White House, which they totally ignored ... And that recommendation was for 2+ million PERMANENT jobs ... NOT Temporary holiday employment either!!

Is Obama the 'Food Stamp President'? @ CNN Money

(Add a sarcastic sneer here):

Thanks Obama.

Its the failed policies of both left and right that have us in this mess. There are way too many we could point fingers at for that. There is only a handful we could say stand for anything.
