Problems with Lasik surgery are not uncommon!

People had better do as much research as possible before they decide to do this. They might look into the surgeon's track record, and choose one who has done a great number of the procedures successfully. I probably wouldn't choose to do it, but I must say my dad had it done maybe 10 years before he passed away, and no longer needed glasses. He had absolutely no complications at all, fortunately.

I don't care how much they promise me that laser surgery will do this or that for my vision. I' not ready to have anyone screw my eyes up..Like Judy points out some are lucky and have no problems, It's that small percentage that don't that scares me. Thanks Mitchell

Oh Wow...Never planned on doing this ~ just get more powerful glasses! I'm using coke bottles now! Hides the bags!

Lol, Mm. It DOES hide the bags. I can get by without always using cover-up makeup!

This is the first article that I've seen negative about it. No wonder my husband has refused to do it even though his eyesight has always been very poor. Fortunately when he got progressives he says that his sight has greatly improved.

This is horrible. People considering this operation need to make sure to do due diligence before they decide on a surgeon. I had lasik close to 20 years ago and it was great for me. I couldn't see anything farther than a few inches in front of my face beforehand. I had slight increase in night vision halos but the positives far outweighed this minor inconvenience. Many of my friends have also had lasik and I am so thankful no one had any problems with it.
