Fox News' Anti-Bernie Sanders Segment Goes HORRIBLY Wrong!: Human Rights Expert Refuses to Condemn Bernie & Socialism

Fox brings out a guest to blast Sanders for being socialist. Little did they know, instead of bashing him & confirming red scare, he explains socialism isn't always undemocratic, & actually ENDORSES Bernie. HumanistReport anchor then analyses key points

Absolutely hilarious, the epitome of stoopid faux news, foot-in-mouth-reporting!!!
"Let's not get bogged down with details"!!! She says after she asks for details!!!!
Priceless!

Thanx LucyK

That faux-journalist really didn't do her homework! She was expecting some sort of gung-ho pro-capitalist defender of the 'free enterprise' version of human rights... by which I mean, we only condemn the human rights violations of our ideological enemies! What a colossal embarrassment for her & the channel!

I wonder if he succeeded in getting any new supporters for Bernie! He certainly got some good jabs in against Hillary & her multiple 'friendships' with dictators and autocratic regimes, like Saudi Arabia!

Thank you!

This vid's been floating around the Net for a month or so and shows:

1) How to lose your job quickly if you are Fox News booking agent

2) The democratic-socialism can work in an socialist-capitalist society that adheres to the rule of law

3) The guest knows what he is talking about - from personal experience.

4) Fox News should be renamed Pox News

Omg, LucyKaleido ScopeEyes I Love your online name! Very Cool!

And thanks for the exact date. It felt like a month to me inside but good to know the exact date.

The reasons why I posted it DESPITE the video having come onto Internet on March 10 --which I well realize doesn't exactly qualify it as 'breaking' news-- are:

1) it had NOT been posted on C2NN by anyone, so presumably a lot of people had NOT seen it;

2) a lot of C2 members, friends --& I myself-- are all Bernie supporters and they SHOULD have the opportunity to see support for Bernie being expressed in no uncertain terms on Fox/Pox News, which is really unexpected & outlandish! And what's more, the Human Rights Foundation director points out, without naming her, that it's Hillary who has an anti-human rights record!

3) it is simply FANTASTIC to see a Pox News anchor ask leading questions in total expectation of answers which will confirm her own bias (and that of the channel), but instead of getting the simple-mindedly biased answers she's fishing for, she gets someone who is not playing the game at all, and, to make matters worse, adds complexity and nuance in his replies! Fox is ANTI-complexity -- they're afraid of it!! They are all Yes/No, Right/Wrong, Black/White ! They have no mental space for nuance & complexity! And, yet, the show is called "the Intelligence Report" !

I'd seen it - the interview has been posted already! And I love it - she gets so frustrated, trying to pull strings to get the message that she wants!!

I like the commentary! Thanks LucyKSE

Your last comment came up while I was posting ...

And remember it's Fox News Intelligence Report - so the intelligence scale isn't one based on using the brain to analyse for oneself! It is for "Open mouth - insert foot - swallow - now you're Fox Intelligentsia!!"

Good grief, Evelyn! Do you know, I conducted two or three C2 searches to make sure it hadn't already been posted?! Why didn't I get the damn post displayed??

Well, glad you like it.

faux-news - brilliant, I love it! great comments here. thank you very much for sharing, Lucy. here in Brazil Bernie has a lot of supporters, even giving donations for his campaign. I think Bernie is the only major opportunity to be a more open and democratic dialogue between the US and South America. the world needs Bernie!!!

Thank you LucyK for posting this. I had not seen this, nor was I aware of it. I love the way the journalist wannabe tried to deflect by not wanting to get bogged down with details. She obviously thought she was going to pull off another hatchet job by manipulating the guest. Looks like the hatchet fell on her foot instead. :)

If they keep asking people to their live shows of whom they have no real idea of what they are going to say, Faux News will soon have to stop live TV because they are in danger of giving of their viewers some correct information which is contrary to their idea of news by definition. ;-) This was so funny and serves them right for trying to discredit Bernie Sanders as a Socialist of the Communist regime type. Bernie is a Socialist Democrat through and through and would be a blessing as a president to America and to the world.

This had already made it onto C2 news awhile ago, but it most likely was missed by people as things are not always caught by everyone. It is a good video to see Fox get caught in the crosshairs.

That is priceless! Suck it to her, yeah! thanks Lucy , makes our day!
I've been long wondering why wouldn't Bernie call himself a social democrat rather than a democratic socialist.
Keep your flops coming, Faux Noise!

LucyKSE - it was the actual Fox News recording, not the Humanist Report, that was posted earlier - that's probably why you didn't find it!

And it was excellent to report it now, I'm glad you found a different presentation so it didn't get rejected as already posted!! You've allowed others to see it who had missed the earlier post - & that's great!!

(Care2 search isn't always very efficient!!!)

Yes, B-i-n-g-o. This is how "Belief Systems" lock you in, too. 20 years of such programming and counting.

Yes, there are so many articles/vids I've missed just for the sheer volume of posts.

That IS wonderful, and Thanx for drawing it to my attention!
Polls have shown, that MILLENNIALS HAVE A HIGHER OPINION OF SOCIALISM - THAN OF CAPITALISM.
The Cold War is over, guys! Has been for a long time!
The Boogyman-Buzzwords just don't RESONATE any more! Too bad for the Propagandists!

Millennials have actually GONE TO "Socialist" countries, have Friends from there....
Don't make ANY association with "Stalin" and "gulags".
The Right Wing is STUCK in the Past, with no good new ideas.... except, of course, the Naked Bigotry displayed by the likes of Trump and Clive Bundy.... which is more openly FASCIST than anything pretending to be "just Conservative wing of a Democracy"....

Noted. Thanks for posting, Lucy.

Sure gave me some smiles! Of course what was stated about Clinton is nothing new at Fux Noise. But, I guess they thought they could get a "two-fer" out of this interview by bashing both Dem. contenders at the same time. ooooops! Seems like Bernie might gain some positive traction out of the Fux Noise watchers who do not like their current GOP nominees. Keeping my fingers crossed!

And, as BMutiny mentioned in her above comment, Millennials "have a higher opinion of socialism--than capitalism." Social media has really helped this along, as this group is attached to their iPhones. Word spreads fast among this bunch. That is why I do have such hope for a better future; because our youth are so involved in helping change the broken system. And, they have such great energy!

Thanks for all these great comments, folks!
I just love Pablo's "It is a comedy channel?" (If only...) and Angie's "Keep your flops coming, Faux Noise!"

I'm "Keeping my fingers crossed" with Lois that "Bernie might gain some positive traction out of the Fux Noise watchers who do not like their current GOP nominees."

Special thanks to Evelyn, for explaining how the first post of this Fux Noise segment didn't show up on my searches: yes, when the title is different, you don't get to similar posts, and even using just key words won't always do it, either. I just applied that last idea & finally found the original post of this. I used key words "fox news human rights March, 2016" & AT LAST discovered Dandelion's March 8th post with over 100 notes! So, I really feel the egg on my face (and I haven't had breakfast yet) !
Thanks, Evelyn, for being so enthusiastic... even the 2nd time around!

I didn't know about the Millennials' political views, so thanks to Barbara & Lois for this new info.

Perhaps Michael Moore is also to some extent responsible for removing 'socialism' from the world of taboo concepts & practices. I'm referring, of course, to his film, "Capitalism - a Love Story", full film @ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bw6OD76EInU I always felt that just saying 'capitalism' was not politically correct in the US, compared to the fully accepted 'free enterprise,' as though identifying the system with the Marxist term was an act of subversion in itself! All my US life, I heard people say, "Democracy isn't perfect, but it's the best system we've found." And that cliché, so often repeated, has always led to total confusion between the political and the economic. Intentionally created confusion? Probably... It sure has caused a lot of foggy thinking... The use of 'democracy' in the US has often been a 'cache-sexe,' an ideological device designed to avoid saying 'capitalism.'

The idea that a democracy could vote capitalism OUT of power was never entertained! Otherwise, the INCONVENIENT TRUTH that democracy does NOT go hand in hand with 'our free enterprise system' [aka 'capitalism'] might have LEAKED OUT! When Allende was democratically elected president of Chile, well, that was an example, perhaps the very first example, that democracy and capitalism could be disconnected, divorced! and that socialism could be overwhelmingly voted OUT of power by unanimous plebiscite. We -- the world & Chileans themselves -- never got to see how that could be managed, how it would be put into policy and practice, because Nixon & Kissenger brought the country to a standstill with massive CIA-orchestrated strikes, before unleashing Chile's fascist armed forces against Allende, La Moneda & the Chilean people, on a Sept. 11th too rarely remembered.

It's great to hear that US mentalities have changed, at least concerning the Millennials, and time will tell if they play a positive role in turning the US around. But for the moment, looking at the GOP, there is nothing to be happy about in terms of the awful mentality that many seem still to support. Even worse than before, because the rhetoric, the racist smears, the hate-filled xenophobia, the worship of 'success' & those who've attained it (the 'stars' of the business & entertainment worlds), the religious right, the war against women, the unification of church & state: never has the US right wing been so extreme and extremist.

Ha ha ha! Halvorssen does a good job pointing out that socialism can be positive, and a socialist country can be a free one. Good for him pointing out the difference between democratic socialism and tyrannical socialism. We all benefit from some form of socialism: public transit, road maintenance, first responders, and so on till the cows come home.

Tres bien!
I've seen it before, love it. Ms. Newsy can't be bothered with facts, they mightn't in the way of her/their agenda!
