This is only one of many examples (can you find any contrary examples?) of why Congress only has a 9% approval rating among U.S. voters. Congress keeps blaming Bush, but last I heard his approval rating was closer to 11%. It's like little kids telling us that the reason they did something bad was because their friends made them do it. We, the parents, know their friends are a bad crowd and we've suggested for years that they not hang out with them. But when it comes to going along with bad ideas, we don't hold the other parents' kids responsible for what our kids do. Our kids are our own responsibility and Congress was supposed to represent us.

Congress has approved FISA and funded the wars of aggression until 2010. Two Members of Congress are running for President and all they have to recommend them for the job is their accomplishments in forcing Congress to represent us. Have they done that? Of course not. So don't vote for them. The elections are rigged anyway.

If only the 9% of Americans who approve of Congress turn out to vote in November, our government will be totally discredited in the eyes of the world and everyone will know that we have finally realized that they've been representing the corporations instead of representing us.

Dear Care2 member who is reading this topic:

Are you one of those 9% who approve of Congress?

If not, do you intend to vote for a Member of Congress to be President?

Why? Because in your eyes, your candidate, having a 9% approval rating is less evil than the other candidate with a 9% approval rating?

Call me paranoid, but I suspect that most members of that 9% are paid political party operatives, campaign managers, consultants, and others who earn a living by getting people to vote in rigged elections for candidates they don't approve of and who won't represent them, which is why they may only represent 9% of the population, but they seem to be at least 25% of online commenters.

No in November

If we don't vote for them, they can still pretend to have won the rigged elections, but they cannot pretend to have our approval. They only have the approval of 9% of us, so why would anyone other than that 9% vote for them?

Thanks for posting, Jill. Noted.

Noted, Jill thanks, and the article that came up with it on the troops water supply was also a must read.
