Whether I agree with her or not, I admire Lady Gaga for sticking by a political stance even though it will impact her profits.

Given the good treatment Target gives its LGBT employees, I am shocked that they have supported people like that in the past. Good on her, I say.

First real stance in the music industry. But it's only a move based on her definition as being gay. What about Wal-Mart who economically exploit people? Can't back off of that because she isn't defined as poor. People are only as good as their definitions allow them to be. "Can't open that box, because I'm in this one"

You go girl! I have stopped going to Target since hearing about their donations to anti-gay politicians. Can't understand why more people don't know about this and take action. Maybe now that Lady Gaga has gone public, more will be aware and boycott the store. As for the comment on Wal-Mart (Ian Donelson), I don't go there, either, because they (mostly) treat their employees like crap. Even if I have to spend a little more, it's not worth it to give them any of my money.

I am with you, John S. Don't really care for her kind of entertainment. But great that she spoke up for the GLBT community.

I like her. She stands up for something - then sticks to it. Although I'm still bothered by the 'meat dress'; but overall, she seems like a caring person.

The meat dress was a political statement against the meat industry, people!

Ian Donelson, what's your deal??? This involves Target and Gaga's deal, and she stuck to her principles even though she stands to lose a lot of money. I say that is something worth applauding! So why would you condemn her for not attacking Wal Mart when Wal Mart was never a part of this discussion or any discussion anywhere about this Target deal? Why do you put her down for not engaging a completely seperate issue that no one even brought up? That is really unfair and completely unjustified of you, imho. Why not attack her for not going after Bank of America? BP? The gas fracking companies? I mean, really, what you said is like saying Michael Moore is slacking because he only went after the healthcare industry, the auto industry and others but he didn't go after the oil industry so he's a fraud. Don't be so hugely unfair, harsh and judgmental of people who ARE trying to principled things!
