Blanket spraying of Monsanto’s RoundUp Ready GM crops with the weedkiller RoundUp has destroyed the habitat of the Monarch butterfly in the United States to such an extent that a petition was filed yesterday seeking endangered species protection for the butterfly, which has declined more than 90 percent in under 20 years.

Signed and Noted. This is such and important issue, we really need to band together! The damage it is doing to our environment is taking its toll. Who know what it is doing to our bodies.

Noted and signed. I also signed the thank you letter to Waitrose. As I'm not in the UK, I altered the letters to fit what I, as an American, want in a supermarket. If Waitrose decided they won't use animals that have been fed GM feed because the price increase is slight, but the health risks are high, so can American stores! Crossing my fingers with high hopes!!!!

GMO crops have been in widespread production and consumption since the mid-90's. They are now commonly grown in 35 countries with more getting on the bandwagon all the time. So, where exactly is the body pile from this allegedly horrible Frankenstein? Twenty years should be more than enough time for the death toll to really be adding up. Instead what we find is that people are living longer and healthier than ever because GMO's have no impact on human health or the environment.

"GM Products Are Safe. Don't Be Pressured to Drop Them."

"I urge you to stand strong and not be bullied by the anti-GMO extremists. GMO crops have been commonly grown and consumed since the mid-90's with absolutely no credible evidence of negative impacts on either human health or the environment.

GMO's, like any other new technology, are meeting resistance from a segment of the population that is poorly educated and prone to misunderstanding science and technology. They are an exceptionally vocal minority, but they are a minority.

Just as GMO crops are perfectly safe, dairy and meat from animals raised on GM feed are also perfectly safe. Please continue to provide these items to the public and, in time, even the most ill-informed members will realize just how ridiculous their anti-GMO position is.

Thank you,"
