Every day, 17,000 children under age 5 die from preventable and treatable causes âEUR" things like pneumonia and malaria. Please send a message today to your Senators urging them to support the Accelerating Action on Maternal and Child Health Act.

Message sent to Sen. Dick Durbin and Sen. Mark Kirk. Yeah, I know, I live in Sweden, but I have a wild imagination...

A message from Save the Children:
Today I’m headed to Capitol Hill with 150 other advocates. We’re meeting with our members of Congress to urge them to support legislation that will enable the U.S. to accelerate action to end preventable deaths of moms and babies globally.
I’m asking for your help to back up our in-person meetings with an email to your Senators. If they hear from us in person and in their inboxes, they will know that this is a priority for thousands of Americans.
Every day, 17,000 children under age 5 die from preventable and treatable causes – things like pneumonia and malaria.

The good news is we know what works to save the lives of moms and babies. These simple solutions are proven and inexpensive, like expanding access to nutritious food, vaccines and clean water.

This new legislation would help the U.S. take what we know works to save the lives of moms and babies around the world and scale it up to reach more of them. But we need our Senators to hear from us that we want a robust version of this bill reintroduced.
Together we can make sure that our Senators hear loud and clear that ending preventable maternal and child deaths is priority.

Thank you for all you do for kids.

This bill is a big deal. If enacted, it would allow the U .S. to reach its goal to save the lives of 15 million children and 600,000 women.
When I speak with members of Congress, they often tell me that it’s important to them to hear from their constituents about issues they care about.

That’s why I’m reaching out to you today in the midst of our annual Advocacy Summit. Our in-person visits with members of Congress will be much more powerful if their inboxes are flooded with messages from constituents like you.
