Noted, forwarded and shared ultra-liberally across four networks! Nice articles-especially concerning Merrick-I like him more and more everyday! Many thanks for sharing yet another fine post, JL.A! :)

Thx Judi. Just sad and disappointing to see advertising for The Syria Campaign there, only someone who hasn't really been following the whole story and hasn't heard, read, seen anything beyond the propaganda narrative would do so. I'm still not holding it against them, most probably done out of true empathy, just not thoroughly informed of what side they represent.

Yes. Well.

I will be chatting with my friends the Furies (we are getting quite chummy) and I will refer them to your post. Probably puttting Kimberly right at the top of the list.

The link to the MoJo story on Garland reminds me of the parable of the mote and the beam (or, as it is now often translated, the speck of dust and the log). How right wing adherents can come up with stuff like this out of absolutely nothing at all, while at the same time ignoring or even or even praising fellow right wing adherents who are actually criminals, such as Gov. Sntder and Gov. Walker, continues to take my breath away. I said criminals - I might just as well have said criminal lunatics.

I'm glad Jean-Pierre Bemba found guilty but so many others walk away freely.

Thanks for the reminder of the forgotten ones. Many besides the Syrian are in terrible situation and seldom do we hear even about the war in Yemen. There is not enough "safe" places in the world today to take in all who are in need of safety, and even those places today, "safe" is for how long. With Climate Disruption more people will be displaced due to drought, too much water, sea level rise, and yet 85 people or some real low number like that has more than half the population in the world.

Yet is the barely making it who are asked to help those who are not making it and more of those who use to help can't do so anymore as they are now requiring some help. I'm not sure where this is going to end, it doesn't look good, and few, who can truly "do" something are not doing it. Lots of talk and little action.
