A performance to inspire the two left footed amongst us. Lets hope my Salsa class does not emulate her tonight!

I started watching one of the dance competitions in the US when it first started. The problem was that the dances were not evaluated on performance and talent, but merely popularity, and that includes the "judges." I stopped watching then. I'm glad the shows have made dance more popular, but I think this popularity has come at the expense of dancing. Sorry, not interested. And I used to be a dancer, so I have some idea of what is really involved.

If we only vote for "the best", it leaves the rest of us in limbo. Yes, this is high comedy, not dance, but everyone voting has been touched, amused, and/or encouraged by her performance. Isn't that what entertainment and life is all about?

Ugh. Ann Widdecombe was one of the deciding factors for me to give my TV away.

Waltz your way to stardom Ann, we can get along in the government without you for a while.

Don't do "reality" tv - but wonder if the voters aren't just messing about - the way they did over John Sargeant (?)
- I can't comment on his ability one way or another - I was just amazed when the "story" made the news!!!!

Had to click on to this site just because of the headline. Had NO idea what it was about. Wish I could print out a copy of it. I guess it's true- people really watch this stuff.

When I saw that A.W. was to be on the show I sighed as I thought I didn't like her much but boy ! has my opinion changed ... I haven't laughed so much in a long time ... a super sense of fun ...but I hope the public don't keep her in for TOO long as it is, after all, supposzd to be about dancing but for two or three weeks ...good on you Ann !!!

It would appear that we , in the UK, have our fair share of philistines regarding the ability to distinguish between the skills required in dancing to a high level of artistic merit. and clog dancing.
