Coal ash is a toxic byproduct of burning coal that contains mercury, lead, arsenic and chromium. and there is just no excuse for the EPA to treat it like it is simply household garbage, say critics of EPA's new rule.

Thanks for this very important petition Susan.
I read an article the other day that said the EPA has finally incorporated rules regulating disposal of coal ash, (which shocked me because I didn't know that before this, there were none) but they fell short by not categorizing coal ash as toxic waste.

It's bad enough we just throw away non-hazardous waste. To go around just tossing out dangerous substances too is sheer idiocy!

Good Evening and thank you for this article which I read and noted and the petition- which I signed tonight --- NAMING IT DANGEROUS IS ONE THING - DOING SOMETHING ABOUT THE PROPER DISPOSAL OF THE DANGEROUS COAL ASH IS SOMETHING TOTALLY DIFFERENT AND NO ONE WANTS TO TACKLE THAT ---WHEN WE GETS UP THE BALLS TO TACKLE THAT PROBLEM THEN I WILL BELIEVE THAT IT WILL BE HANDLED PROPERLY ---UNTIL THEN IT IS JUST TALK AND NOTHING MORE---- SINCERELY KAY M,.
