My mind comes to this topic now and then. Such ignorance coupled with violence is a devastation in physical, spiritual and historical proportion. The crimes should not repeatedly go unpunished. Protecting wreckage and realizing losses must be completely disheartening.
As I'm reading, I become more depressed and angered over the loss of lives and traces to culture and historical roots. In hopes the Syrian common memory and identity will not be completely destroyed by these barbarians or anyone.
