There were some very brave members of the public during this time, digging out people from bombed houses, caring for the wounded, helping to put out fires. Often they did this while the bombing was still going on, at great risk to themselves.

The Nazis were evil destroying and killing all for power and to rid the world of Jews of course.IF they hadn't been stopped who knows how far they would have gone.I would imagine that was one of those night that people always remember where they were when the blitz started as we remember other events.
