I'm glad to see not only a governor but a FATHER step forward and sign a bill like this. The first few years of driving should be handled with concentration, and safety.....neither of which is followed when a young adult is texting away or chatting away with friends or family on a cell phone. I would have taken it a step farther, though, and suggested a law that would ban cell phones, like alcohol from use while behind the wheel of a moving vehicle.
