what a tragic way for this young woman to die. i cannot believe in this day and time of our world, that public stoning still goes on. this has got to STOP, this is sickening. the oppression of women and young girls is just unbelievable. this beautiful young lady died because she was in love. how very very sad. may she rest in peace. no sympathies extended to the family as they let this happen. unbelievable.

There are no words to express the extreme sadness I felt after reading this article! It is inhumane to stone anyone, I don't care whose culture or law it is! It is barbaric and must be stopped!

Into this sad country weakened by an illogical war comes this discent into cruel barbarity. A seventeen yar old girl, barely more than a child is murdered in public at the behest of judges who do know better. No God demands this blood sacrifice. Only the need to control the female half of the race by insecure people can conceive of such an action. We must protest loudly about this waste and santioned murder till this sort of story can no longer happen.

She's with God in Heaven now. Her pain is over but theirs, theirs is just about to begin!! God, no matter what you call Him, never wanted this, for any reason, and never under His Name. God forgive them. God forgive us all.

As a 21 years old Kurdish girl myself, I found this story heart-breaking. I watched the videos in which she was stoned to death, I found it very disturbing, I must admit I was crying. She was such a beautiful young girl, her only crime was following in love with a boy from another religion. I hope all those evil people who was involved in her murder burn in hell. What was sad is that the police were there witnessing everything, but did not intervene.

No person has the right to kill another person! FULL STOP!!!

P.S Lets not forget that not all Kurdish people are the same! My family are so different I can marry any boy from any religion.
