I know you really care about the retired working dogs (including Idle, Ivy, Nugget and Nandi) that were just rescued from Iraq, so I thought you'd be excited to see them on TV! Ivy and Nugget recently starred in a segment on Headline News. We're hoping

Thank you for this beautiful post. I once saw a documentary on the dogs of the Vietnam War. These dogs were incredible heroes and actually placed themselves on the line to save American soldiers' lives, only to be utterly forsaken by the U.S. Government, who would not allow the dogs back to the United States. These war heroes were left behind to be slaughtered by the Vietnamese! That the U.S. dogs who served in Iraq and other places of military unrest are treated with the same cavalier attitude is unconscionable. There needs to be a law passed to get service animals home and cared for......they are, after all, military vets! Nugget and Ivy are absolutely gorgeous, and so calm and gentle. I wish them wonderful homes, and encourage everyone to donate the SPCAIi Baghdad Pups campaign, which helps dogs like these come back to loving, caring homes. >^..^<
