Help make it illegal to attend or bring a minor to animal fights! Organized animal fighting operations are very difficult for law enforcement to shut down. In order to stop the sadistic animal cruelty associated with both dogfighting and cockfighting,

I want to know much more before signing anything. I want an unbiased report to read, The cost and what are the consequences. I have observed we are becoming like the roman crowd at the games crying for blood. Rather than a rational approach.

I don't understand Scott V.'s concern. If it is wrong to engage in animal fighting it should be wrong and illegal to attend --after all if not 1 person paid for it and not one person profited from it it would dwindle to almost non-existence. Granted that sadistic people might still engage in it.

A thought... In Genesis, the first book of the Bible, when God gave Adam dominion over the birds of the air, the animals, the fish, etc., do you think he meant total control as to destroy at will as well? No he did not, in Aramaic this word "domain" actually means "the responsibility for the care of all of his Creation" (GOD).

I doubt if Congress ever met a loophole it didn't like. By the time the lobbyists stop pouring money into the mix for proposed laws, if passed at all, those laws are so full of loopholes that business can continue as usual. Congress may also decide just not to enforce the laws or to not allocate enough money for enforcement. Very discouraging.

Pit bulls are much maligned because of this activity. We may as well go back to blaming rape victims for rape. That is what this illegal activity does to the Pit bull.
