World's First 3D Printed Car Drove Off This Weekend

The world's first drivable 3D printed car was finished and driven off of the showroom floor at the International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago this past Saturday. The vehicle, produced by Local Motors, is called the Strati.

Does that mean I have to ware the glasses to see the color...Ha, how would that work if these get on the road. I can't stop smiling and thanks for the information. Wish I had the $ that was paid to do this!

I wonder if this could lead to a car without an outrageous price tag. Mechanical simplicity might be another advantage if this technology works. Thanks Freya.
