Black Friday is no longer just Friday. It has pushed its way back into my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving. Now, stores are opening on Thursday, rather than early Friday morning. Kmart is even opening on Thursday morning at 6 AM! Now, people are leaving...

I have to admit that I have never participated/shopped on a Black Friday and I will never be the type to enter into the crowds at the wee hours to purchase one item. I don't see the point. I believe every employee needs those retail days off with their families.

Now it is Black Thursday. Next year it will be Black Wednesday. Whatever is the point : )?

You wouldn't catch me anywhere near a store on those days. Greedy Corporations but honestly people, think what you are doing. Every year one reads about people being trampled some to their death, fights, stabbings, shootings......really??? So thankful we are, all in the Spirit of Christmas the love and peace holiday. Give me a break.

I feel badly for all the employees stuck working. There use to be a time that an employer would give their employees a turkey to show the employee their own gratitude for hard work. What a sick joke this Country has become. Signed.

absolutely nuts. Not a techno geek so I am not jonesing for "the latest" upgrade, or gizmo.
will be thankful for what I have- health, friends that are still alive, shelter, my cat, and food to eat, a car that runs...the list goes on and on.
and I can say this all, staying in my snug bed on thursday morning and hopefully listen to the rain in Northern California! Thankful for the last-rain! whoopie!

Petition signed, I know I will be enjoying Thanksgiving with my family. Not insane stores or customers. Thanks Freya

And Admittedly, I will be at work at 5.30 on Black Friday Morning, and that's ok. But I won't be working on Thanksgiving. And I won't be shopping, either. No chance in hell.

I even say NO to Black Friday.
If you watch and read the news, Black Friday is _not_ the best day for sales.
