Walmart Just Came Up With An Idea That Will Make Customers Really Miserable

Should some ideas be left on the shelf? Try telling that to those who think they know the future. Some ideas smack of genius. Others, you just want to smack.

Just what people need, more invasion of privacy.

Thanks Freya; I agree with Peggy...and this quote: "Technology, though it protests the opposite, cannot solve all human problems. Humans aren't all that good at recognizing the emotions of other humans, but human-made technology is?" Perhaps Walmart should invest in training their people in recognizing emotions of each other and their customers instead.

Thanks for the warning Freya . I will unhappy myself at the nearest Wally World and wait for an intrusive clerk to offer up a buying spree just for me. Then I throw my arms around them and tell them a tale of worldly woes thru a veil of tears . Not mine but someones. Thats what weekends are for - right ?

Noted, Freya.

I now live in Arizona and I know what a nightmare Wallmarts are.

Four things I miss about Vermont: healthy wildlife, clean air and water, Bernie Sanders and the fact that there is only one Wallmart in the whole state......which does contribute to Vermonters (humans and animals) being happier and healthier.

I really don't like WalMart and only shop there when my husband does. Thankfully, that's not very often. Invading our privacy, along with putting small shop owners out of business, would just be one more nail in their coffin.

Wow Fiona, I didn't know they had let even one Walmart in, the last I knew there were zero Walmarts in VT. I thought they were very smart to have kept them out.

In any case, it appears some overpaid arse is having to figure ways to keep his job so came up with this new idea. They'd make me happier if they paid their Staff a "living wages" so that working employees did not work for starvation wages and could feed their families without having to ask the taxpayers to help the supplement of their wages via food stamps, day care vouchers, and housing subsidies. Wouldn't that be nice for all concerned?

I'd also be happier if they would hire enough Staff to check one out of the store. I will NOT be Walmart's UNPAID employee by ringing out my own items and bagging it myself. Our local Walmart has placed more of these self check outs in and cut down on human cashiers. I only go there to get my bulk items like tissue paper, paper towels, kitty litter, and cat food.

If I need anything else I go elsewhere. Thankful I only find I'm in there about once every month and it is almost too much as they keep adding even more unfriendly rules that neither serve the employee nor the customer.

So glad they'll send over one of their underpaid staff - then customer and employee can commiserate about having to be in a Walmart.
