The Case That Trump Is a Sociopath - A Psychiatrist Speaks Out

Is Donald Trump mentally ill? Are his behaviors indicative of deeper psychological troubles? If so, what are the implications for the country and the world if the president of the United States is suffering from a mental illness?

Saw this yesterday, and I am sure that he is a Malignant Narcissist, the term Eric Fromm created to describe Hitler! The Goldwater rule does get in the way, and while I can understand, and sympathize with the origin thereof, Trump's behavior is so evident, and evidently bizarre, that anyone in the mental health field, as I've been for a month shy of half a century, can see that Trump is a very sick puppy!

Thanks Freya .If Salon's assumptions are correct you have good reason for concern..Your presidential system vests far too much power in one person. He is almost a pseudo dictator.and has the power to lead the country to greatness or destruction..I hope the vocal minority of republicans in this country who want to replace the Queen as our head of state and replace her with an elected president and drastically change our constitution ,have a good look at the path your system has led you to. Out Westminster system of Government is by far the most democratic.I never want to see it changed.

There are quite a few other Republicans I'd like to know how their mental health is. Might want to test Drumpf's family as well.

Trump has been obviously unbalanced for some time, & a major growing worry.

That Trump is a sociopath is not something that comes now with the usual 20/20 hindsight; people have already made note of that so when observing his behavior during his campaign. And it shouldn't be a surprise that his mental state is deteriorating further under stress. Those in the White House now "leaking" their concerns are hypocrites; they have known from the start what sociopathic, and possibly demented, personality they were getting into cahoots with, but chose to do so to advance their own agenda's, thinking they could control Trump and keep a lid on the worst of it. Now they may suffer the consequences of their choice, but not nearly as much as the majority of Americans who didn't want Trump in the WH.

Absolutely he's a sociopath and he's got narssistic personality disorder too. Besides that he's a sexual predator and not fit to be in society let alone in The White House.

Trump displays more narcissistic traits than even Hitler did.

If you isolated Trump and removed his talking earpiece I don't think he would be able to talk. He reads a fresh script daily and there is always someone in his ear. Un hombre que haría cualquier cosa por dinero es la Puta más Grande del mundo

Do not doubt it! But I see some firmness and frankness in the deal that I did not see with the presidents of the former America! I do not defend him but that's what I see! I could be wrong or not! The days will prove that !
