New "Albino" Spider Found in Australia

Along came an "albino" spider--and it's shocked scientists in Australia. "I nearly fell over when I saw its white head," Mark Harvey, senior curator at the Western Australian Museum, said via email. The newfound trapdoor spider isn't a true albino,

I've seen pure white Albino spiders but once in a blue moon. Same with Crickets and Roaches.

"The world would be a poorer place without spiders."

It would be a very hungry place, with far less species and diversity. Insects would eat so many plants that most herbivores would starve to death, and insects that can bite, sting, infect or eat other creatures would finish off the rest of us. Be very grateful for spiders.
