And if a jury lets this guy off because he claims he only wanted to frighten the victim, they need their heads examined. You don;t bury someone aline and leave them without air unless you intend for that person to die.

This kind of thing happened in Wisconsin maybe 5 years ago, and while the victim lived, she suffered a miscarriage because of the ordeal. She also lost all her toes to frostbite. Until her case, Wisconsin judges were not ALLOWED to consider a history of domestic violence as a qualifier when granting child custody during a divorce. They are now REQUIRED to.

The Wisconsin abuser claimed that he really just wanted full custody of the children he'd had with the victim. She happened to be in the way of that, so he was forced to attack her with a ball bat, bind her with duct tape, throw her into the back of his pickup truck, and haul her to a deserted, unheated storage garage where he shoved her into a plastic storage tub, taped the lid down, and weighted it so she couldn't possibly get out.

She had 911 on her one-button speed dial, and managed to call for help from the back of the truck. Even when the cops had the rat-bastard in custody, he refused to tell them where he'd left her. He WANTED her to die praying for help. When he refused to cooperate, a cop went through his wallet and found a rent receipt for the storage garage. They found the victim there, battered and nearly frozen, and rushed her to the local hospital -- from which she had to be airlifted to a different hospital that offered more comprehensive treatment.

We can never afford to take lightly the reports of domestic violence or stalking by a former domestic partner. Batterers are all about control. When the victim escapes their control, they want that control back, and they want it in spades. Letting a woman die slowly and torturously, conscious for every possible moment of terror, is the kind of thing that suits an abuser. It gives him back his sense of power. It gets the message across to the victim that he can do anything he wants to her.

This kind of story usually doesn't have an ending even as happy as this one. This woman lost her anticipated baby, and she's crippled for life, but at least she lived. He'll spend the rest of his rotten life in prison, where he'll never see his kids -- or his victim -- again. They get a life; maybe that's as happy as ending get.

Too bad he didn't give her a swiss army knife as an engagement present. It would have come in real handy. Amazing the jerk didnt try to get the ring off her still warm fingers. If any guy you are dating has anger control issues, drop him like a hot potato after his first explosion. No woman has a magic wand to change a poisonous toad into a prince. Send him packing back to the mother that created him, with no return address~

I saw this on the news today. I can't believe he said he just wanted to scare her. Really does the putz really expect people to believe that. I'm glad she got out and that she can send him to prison, although I'd say give him death. That's the best use of an engagement ring I've ever heard of. Desperation can make one very creative. Let him rot or be done in by one the prisoners with whom he's going to be spending a long time.

Kasprzak should be walled up in a basement with a cat. When the cat runs out of food, it'll start yowling and can be released. Yeah, I can play Edgar Allen Poe too. Award the woman her son and kick Kasprzak's cohort out of UK back to Poland.

I hope the ring is worth a lot and that she can use it to start her new life with her son and WITHOUT the homicidal jerk she unfortunately was involved with. Cuz he should rot in JAIL!

Thank God she still had her ring on, it saved her life. What a sorry low life to do something like this. And to take her away from her little boy. Her fiancee needs to be buried the same way, except make sure he can't get out. Let's see how he like's it.

He may think he can fool someone with that nonsense about only wanting to frighten her, but she could have easily have died and only through great courage and determination survived. Attempted murder for sure.

This man should get 25 years for attempted murder.
After release, if he lives that long, should never be allowed any visitation with his son.

The woman is very fortunate in being able to have the presence and will to escape from her "tomb".

Ty, Agnes.

I wasn't able to find it on this link but from reading the other people telling about this insane person and attempting to kill her, I say throw away the key and let him rot.
