HEART ATTACKS: Those symptoms, or lack of symptoms, can result in delayed medical care and differences in treatment that might in turn help explain why women in the study were also more likely to die of their heart attacks. (Photo: jupiterimages)

I had a heart attack at age 69 in 2009, and am female. There was no pain at all, but a general feeling of breathlessness and a strange ache in my jaw. I had felt light-headed a few times before the actual attack, but there were none of the "classic" symptoms we read about. I always tell women to be mindful of the way their body feels and take seriously a general feeling of tiredness and difficulty in breathing. My heart attack had very few symptoms other than that general feeling that something was wrong.

I had my Heart Attack at 41 years old.
No classic symptoms at all. There was
a rare middle of the night purgeing of
the stomache and a paceing of urgency.
Once hospitalized, Para-Medics reported
only a change in blood pressure.

Noted. Thanks for sharing such an important article Agnes. My mother had a heart attack and the only symtom was a pain in her throat which she thought was from her throyd surgery six weeks prior. The doctor found she had a heart attack by doing a stress test. She had to have surgery which saved her life. All women, need to be aware of what our body is telling us, as it could be a matter of life or death.

Received an email from a friend about this, also one about signs to look for if you are having a Stroke.

Has anyone noticed there seems to be something wrong with the C2 news today. Clicked on several subjects and the "Page can't be found".
