Target is one of the largest retail chains in the United States, but âEUR" unlike a growing number of other major retailers âEUR" the chain is still trashing perfectly edible, nutritious produce just because it isn't pretty.

Signed and noted. Thanks, Lone. These fruits and veggies should be sold at a discounted price or donated to a food bank. There are many single parents, working poor, seniors, and other low income people who would cheerfully take this produce and be very glad to get it.

When I was supporting my children by myself, I used to go to a Chinese market who sold their "ugly" produce in a special section at a much reduced price. This certainly helped me stretch my grocery dollar so my children had fresh, nutritious food all year long. I'm not sure how I would have managed if I had not found this market.

All supermarkets do it. They used to give it away but then to dishonesty, they stopped. Shocking waste.
